Quotes & Notes

“We were off today offensively, and we weren’t really doing the things that made us successful the last few games. We found some opportunities, especially at the end of the second quarter, but when you’re losing momentum it’s tough to fight back. They had home field advantage, we had a quick turn around, but we traveled well and fought to the end. The seniors are leaving behind this experience and our younger players know what it takes to get here, and in the future, the hope is we are the higher seed and have those advantages.”
– Head Coach Evan Mager

– Iona takes a 2-1 lead in the all-time series.

Jamie Kubach(Philadelphia, PA/William Penn Charter[FDU-Florham]) got the start in net, playing all 60 minutes, and making eight saves in the loss.
